Paying it forward by teaching others: Lessons Learned
Investing had been my hobby since the 1980’s and it has taught me lessons that I find are invaluable.
Since my retirement from EY in 2015, I have followed the path of listening and learning about things I had only imagined. I found myself focused on research and then investing in Blockchain and AI related assets. They “felt” like the future. The rewards have been fabulous!
But, we all know that things never go right in the beginning. The lows included the painful lessons of being hacked ($5 million lost), failed early investing in start-ups that went bankrupt ($10 million in losses), work with the FBI and the DOJ in pursuit of criminals, and work with State Attorney Generals in operating a Crypto Hedge Fund (closed the Fund at the end of 2021 when the U.S. government banned banks from servicing the crypto industry). I think I have had a second career after 60.
It has been and continues to be an incredible ride.
So, why am I posting this on LinkedIn? Because I want to share my knowledge and experiences. Purely educational. I seek no clients, no fees, no personal reward, other than the belief I have helped others pursue a similar journey of being actively involved in their financial future.
I plan to sit with groups of no more than 3 or 4 people. Each meeting would be for approximately two hours or so. I want to answer your questions and to focus on how to use the available tools that you can use to build your own portfolio, a portfolio that may be the first one you have ever built, which reflects your own view of the world in regard to AI and Crypto (a caveat; I know more than many but I am in no way an expert on anything. I make no recommendations as to buying or selling securities/tokens of any kind).
If you want to join me, send me or my Assistant a note indicating your interest, the number of attendees you wish to bring to our meeting (no more than four), and the preferred time of day/evening that works for you/your group. My timing is flexible (retired EY Partners live and breathe flexibility), so let me know what makes sense for you. The meeting location will be mid-town (near 44th Street and 6th Avenue).
I look forward to hearing from you.
